(WILX) – A growing number of teens suffer from severe hip problems caused by obesity.

British researchers have studied the rates of a disease called SCFE, which causes deformity and sometimes hip collapse.

They found that five-year-old seriously obese children were 20 times more likely to develop CPFE syndrome than their peers.

SCFE is one of the most common causes of hip replacement among young adults and sometimes even children.
