Results of the 2018 World Cup: Group C standings, highlights France-Denmark and Australia-Peru

[ad_1]

Final score: Peru 2 – Australia 0, France 0 – Denmark 0.

That's all. France and Denmark are through, thanks to a 0-0 match I want to file a complaint against. It was miserable.

Peru has beaten well and given us wonderful moments, so I guess, thanks Peru.

Hey France and Denmark: BOOOOOOOOOOO.

11:08 ET: Goal Peru, this time Paolo Guerrero, and it is 2-0!

This could be for Australia. Dang. Still, a wonderful moment for Peru.

Part Time – Peru 1 – Australia 0, France 0 – Denmark 0

Pretty much like before the match. As it stands, France and Denmark will advance. Peru, mathematically eliminated before the start of the match, plays only for pride, but what pride they show. Australia needs a lot of changes to be able to escape.

10:17 AM AND – GOAL PERU, CARRILLO! Peru 1 – Australia 0.

Andre Carrillo with a volley on the right foot, and Australia is in trouble now. They need to win and get help from France to move forward, and that is not going to make it easy. On the other hand, good news for Denmark.

The first goal of the World Cup in Peru in 36 years!

Overview

Group C begins its last round of matches on Tuesday for the 2018 World Cup group stage, both played at 10 am ET. Denmark and France will face Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia, while Australia and Peru will play at Fisht Stadium in Sochi, Russia.

Follow here or return to the live blog for key moments and updates as Denmark seeks to qualify for the round of 16, France is working to secure the leading position of Group C and Australia gives a last shot for the round of 16.

While both Group C matches are played at the same time, Denmark will have to do their best to advance to the round of 16. If Australia wins their match against Peru to get their points to four, Denmark must at least shoot their match against France to finish in the group standings with five points. A win would put Denmark in front of France with seven points, but France would still go to the round of 16 since it would finish with six points.

If Denmark loses and Australia wins, they will be tied in the Group C standings and will go first to the goal differential to determine which team will move to the knockout phase.
