Bellator 207: "Mitrione vs. Bader "will take place tonight (October 12, 2018) at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Friends become rivals in Paramount's flagship televised event, Matt Mitrione (13-5) and Ryan Bader (25-5) each seeking to qualify for the Grand Prix Heavyweight final.

Lorenz Larkin against Ion Pascu

Pascu enters first in the blue gloves and the black underpants. Romania's record so far is 18-8 and is a product of Conor McGregor's camp at SBG Ireland and the Battle of Dublin (of course). Larkin enters with the red gloves and trunk and a career record of 19-7 (1 NC), and is battling from Riverside, CA. Our referee is Kevin MacDonald.

Tour 1: Pascu is the aggressor at the start. Larkin kicks him around and then throws a free kick. Pascu shoots at 0:41 and he tries to lift Larkin off the ground and shoot him down. Larkin is released at 1:13. Larkin strikes him with a forehand and may have hurt Pascu from a short shot because he is shooting again. Pascu is pushed back and hit with one knee in the center. He raises his hands to avoid a crushing left hook and turns away from another, but can not avoid kicking the body. Larkin calls for a cup, MacDonald says no and tells them to continue. Good shots by Pascu at 4:08. He is hiding under a shot looking for a single leg and ALMOST gets it … but does not do it. 10-9 Larkin.

Kevin Ferguson Jr. vs. Corey Browning

Ferguson Jr. a / k / a "Baby Slice" is 3-1 in red gloves and blue trunks. Browning is 2-1 in blue gloves and black trunks. Ferguson has a range of 26, 5'11 "and 72". 5'11 "and 74" for Browning, 29 years old. Ferguson fights in Long Beach California and Browning in Knoxville, Tennessee. Our responsible referee is Bryan Miner.

Round 1: Browning throws the first punch but is made by a huge right and is shot ten seconds after the start of the fight. Ferguson tries to choke, but does not, he lets it pass and then gets up to look for another withdrawal, and he has it in 56 seconds. He lays two knees at Browning as he gets up (not hand down) and looks for another withdrawal. Browning tries and does not succeed in stuffing him and taking his back. It's force against the cage and Ferguson wins this battle at 2:22. He avoids a possible armband attempt and calms down. He tries to go halfway but Browning picks up at 3:18. He has his back and he wants to put the hooks but Ferguson regains control. Browning is split over his right eye, but even so, he grabs an arm on Ferguson and puts some nice stones on the ground and elbows that force Ferguson to cover himself to reach R2. Close 10-9 to Ferguson.

Tour 2: Browning ROCKS Ferguson early in the frame, but he will make a takedown to save himself. Ferguson switches to lateral control with an arm around Browning's neck looking for submission. Browning manages to escape, but Ferguson gets the full mount and takes back. Ferguson lets out a rear naked choke and Browning sweeps over and ends the fight at 2:08.

Final result: Corey Browning wins by technical knockout at 2:08 of the second round.


Carrington Banks against. Mandel Nallo

Banks is 7-1 in the red gloves, Nallo is 6-0 in the blues. Nallo is fighting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in black shorts with red trim. Banks fights from Denver, Colorado, in black trunks. Our responsible referee is Bryan Miner.

Round 1: Nallo tries to use his long legs early, forcing Banks to get up to avoid a high kick and then kick. Banks tries to suppress this advantage, but Nallo easily picks it up. Kristi Lopez against. Sarah Click

Blue gloves, black top, 1-0, fight against Bourne, Massachusetts. Click. Red gloves and a white trunk with a white top, 2-0-1, fighting in Los Angeles, California, is Lopez. Our referee is Kevin MacDonald.

Round 1: The two fighters approach cautiously to open the fight. Lopez poses a right hand and Click responds by pushing it back into the cage. Lopez returns but Click hits her almost in the head. Lopez throws a right elbow on top during their separation. Lopez is throwing lefts and rights. Lopez catches a kick but Click avoids the takedown and pushes towards the cage. All around, they go. Where this is going to stop, they are the only ones to know. Lopez lands a few elbows in the head but Click does the same. Lopez drags Click to the ground but she stands up. Lopez throws a 1-2 but Click puts it on the chin. Lopez throws combos but lets himself be rocked by the right hand and wobbles at the bell. 10-9 Click.

Turn 2: Lopez kicks back but Click goes through it. Click with a hard left hand. Click mixes in the kicks while she walks Lopez. Lopez connects with a left hook. They drop out and go to the fence at 1:56. Click works the knees against the body with double hooks. Foot tramples by Click. Lopez catches the hooks and looks for something for the leg but it's not there, but she lands a right elbow over and over again. Lopez drops the levels with 40 seconds to go, but drops the attempt and starts hitting again. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 3: Lopez makes a circle on the outside while Click tries to cut the angle and place the right. Kick for Click. Click with a 1-2 and a low shot. Lopez turns and throws a double blow. Lopez's corner urges her to be busier in the cage. Click lets Lopez guess by changing his position and doing shadowboxing with his hands. She pushes Lopez into the cage at 2:38. MacDonald warns her from knees to the groin. Click with your hands on the body while Lopez pushes Click back into the fence. Click answers with knees and returns Lopez. Lopez turns again, but Clic kneels. MacDonald resets them in the center with 40 seconds to go. Click comes forward with combos and repeated body shots. Andre Fialho against Javier Torres

Red trunks and blue gloves for Torres, 10-4, fighter in Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. Green trunks / red gloves for Fialho, 9-1, fighter in Lisbon, Portugal. Todd Anderson is the referee.

Round 1: Fialho is the aggressor early and takes a kick before giving a whim. Fialho takes the center and forces Torres to turn left and right on the outside. Torres stops asking for a look, but Todd Anderson tells them to keep fighting and Fialho makes him take a nap in the dirt. Fialho continues to kick his leg while Torres turns. Fialho glides headlong but gets up quickly before Torres can enjoy it. Jump the knee for Fialho. 10-9 Fialho.

Round 2: Fialho continues to impose his will and wins a nice combo in 40 seconds. Torres suddenly comes with his left hand. Fialho responds with a low kick and Torres pulls back. Torres eats a big straight at 1:28 and another comes a few seconds later. Torres gets another left hand, but recoils from Fialho's power. Torres asks for a second look and Anderson says no, keep fighting. Left hook by Fialho. Another clean left. Uppercut right and right hook by Fialho. They drop out and Torres puts FIalho on the cage briefly but empties the dirty boxing and lets it go. Fialho tries a late withdrawal and does not get it. 10-9 Fialho.

Round 3: Fialho continues to repel Torres and force him to fight defensively. Torres is trying to stall just to slow down Fialho a bit, even if he will not get it. He goes back and forth several times but it is not there. Fialho finally supports him with a hook with 90 seconds to go. The fact that he canceled the Fialho offensive and that he was the one trying to take the back or get the takedown was probably closer to Torres 10-9, but Fialho will make the decision in a way or in the other.

Final result: the judges score the draw 28-28, 29-28 and 29-28 for Fialho by majority.


Mike Kimbel against Alex Potts

Blue gloves, black trunks for Potts, 1-0 on Syracuse, N.Y. Red gloves, black trunks for Kimbel, 1-0 on Waterbury, Conn. Our responsible referee is Todd Anderson.

Round 1: Kimbel shakes Potts six seconds after the fight with the right hand and EVERYTHING IS FINISHED. He put a hammer on the ground, but Anderson was already doing the same.

Final result: Mike Kimbel wins by KO at 0:06 of the first round.

Kastriot Xhema against Pat Casey

Blue gloves, black trunks, 3-0, fighting in Springfield, Mass., Is Casey. Red gloves, pink trunks, 2-1, fighting in Greenwich, Connecticut, is Xhema. Our referee is Dan Miragliotta.

Turn 1: Touch of gloves and Xhema quickly wins a kick against Casey. Casey shoots for some ground attempts without success. Third attempt at 31 seconds, he puts Xhema on the ground and goes to half of the guard. Xhema brings him back to full custody as they get closer to the cage and try to throw his elbows and right hand on his back. Xhema abandons his horse at 2:07 but quickly manages to escape and get up. Final result: Pat Casey wins by 30 to 26 X3 to the unanimous decision.


Sinead Kavanagh against. Janay Harding

Harding is 3-4, blue gloves, leggings and black top, fighter in Sydney, Australia. Kavanagh is 5-2 with red gloves, a gray top and a black trunk, fighting in Dublin, Ireland. Our referee is Kevin MacDonald.

Round 1: Kavanagh pushes Harding quickly to the outer circle and drops his hands. Harding resists the storm and turns right. Harding raises his hands to block the shots and throws nice elbows. Ballou makes his professional debut in the blue gloves and black top of Bethlehem, Conn. Lisa Blaine is 2-0 in the red gloves and blue trunk, and she's battling from North Haven, Conn. Our referee in charge is Kevin MacDonald.

Round 1: Both fighters take center without glove tap. Blaine squeezes his paw with his left hand and holds his right hand up, letting it out when she can find the reach. She pushes Ballou back toward the fence, but Ballou returns it when they touch. Blaine does dirty boxing while they turn back. Blaine tries to avoid a takedown and ends up swinging on one leg while the other is pushed against the cage – legal because she did not tie her toes to the fence. Ballou gets the double imbalance, but let's go at 2:50 and Blaine immediately lands with his right hand and pursues him. Ballou responds with a knee and a high kick. Blaine goes in search of the cage at 3:27 and Ballou returns it again. Ballou throws his knees on the body and Blaine throws the rights and the uppercuts.
