Foster was arrested at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay at 9:10 pm AND taken to prison two hours later, by the Hillsborough Sherriff County Office.
Foster was accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend earlier this year. These charges were withdrawn in May when the ex-girlfriend canceled his statements, alleging that Foster had struck him in February. He has pleaded no challenge to a charge of arms and has been suspended two games by the NFL.
Foster was suspicious of playing against the Buccaneers on Sunday due to a hamstring injury. The arrest on Saturday night will probably ensure he will not play for one reason or another.
The 49ers had voiced a zero tolerance policy on domestic violence issues earlier this year, as Foster went through his previous legal episode.
"We can promise you guys – there is someone who is already hitting his other partner, his girlfriends, such a person, this person will not be part of our team," said the 39, head coach Kyle Shanahan. "I am firmly convinced of that. I know John (Lynch) does. I know our property does. That's what we think about it. Obviously, Reuben is part of our team right now, so we're waiting to see how that goes. But if it's something we've felt or it's happened, you'll see how we feel.
With another alleged domestic violence incident against Foster – and with the team preparing for a match on the road just as much – his time with the 49ers could be rather short.
