San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested Saturday night at the Tampa, Florida, team hotel for domestic violence.

An arrest report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office revealed that Foster had been incarcerated at 11:11 pm. He is detained without bail.

Foster was arrested by Tampa police at 9:10 pm at the Grand Hyatt Hotel where the team stays before playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

The 49ers did not immediately respond to the request for comment. However, general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan said in April, following a previous arrest against Foster for domestic violence charges eventually dropped, that the team had a policy zero tolerance in the matter.

"We can promise you, guys, there's someone who hits their loved ones, their girlfriends, someone like that, this person will not be part of our team," Shanahan said. "I'm convinced of that, I know John knows it, I know our property knows it, that's what we think, obviously Reuben is part of our team right now, so we're waiting for see how that will happen but something we have felt that it has done or has come to happen, you will see how we feel. "

Foster has had several conflicts with the law since it was written by the 49ers at 31st place in 2017.

Foster was charged in January in Alabama with second-degree marijuana possession. This charge was eventually dismissed after taking a course on diversion for offenders for the first time.

Foster then faced more serious charges for an incident in California in February. In April, he was charged with crimes of domestic violence, criminal threats and possession of weapons, after being accused of beating his ex-girlfriend.

One judge ruled that there was no probable cause to the first two charges after the ex-girlfriend withdrew his charges and that the judge found no other evidence to the support of the charges. The charge on the weapons was reduced to one offense and Foster pleaded undisputed to that in June.

He was sentenced to two years probation, 232 hours of community service and a fine of $ 235. He will not be allowed to possess firearms while he is on probation.

After the charges were removed, Lynch told Foster that he should continue to earn his place in the team through his behavior.

Foster was suspended in the first two games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse and driving policy.

Foster has had difficulties on the field this season, as well as injuries to the shoulder and hamstrings. He had missed the last two games due to a thigh injury and is deemed dubious Sunday.

Foster has scored 29 tackles in six games this season, with no sacks, forced fumbles, fumbleovers or interceptions. He also missed 10 tackles in six games, according to SportRadar, and has the second highest rate of missed tackles among all linebackers with at least 200 shots in defense.
