Two hitters in the game, White Sox fans might have thought: Oh no, here's another clown show.
Avisail Garcia collided with Yoan Moncada on a foul of pop, failing to cancel the second baseman of the Sox. Moncada seemed dazed and needed to get coach Herm Schneider's approval to stay in the game.
Could this be another performance in which the Sox failed to look like a major league team?
Six days earlier, following a 12-0 loss to Cleveland, Reynaldo Lopez said, "Honestly, we looked like clowns, starting with me."

The Sox did a ton of good things:

– Four Sox relievers combined for 2 2/3 perfect frames.
Lopez was unperturbed after leaving two homers early. It lasted 6 1/3, coming out after reaching 98 lengths.
"He continues to make runs and give us a start that gives us a chance," said manager Rick Renteria. "He continues to show a little calm here, he matures."

A game like this also makes you hope that Sanchez will be part of the Sox's long-range plans. He is a player and a grinder, a guy who likes to have fun and who can play almost every position on the diamond.
His stats are not great (.258 on average, .304 in base, .411 hitting with 35 RBIs), but if he continues to improve, the Sox could have their own Ben Zobrist.
