Huntsville, Ala. – Radley Reynolds of Edmond, OK recently participated in the Space Camp at the Space and Rocket Center of the United States.

As part of this program specifically designed for interns who are particularly interested in space exploration, Reynolds spent the week training with a team that performed a space mission simulation at the airport. Reynolds and his crew returned to Earth in time to graduate with honors. The Space Camp operates year-round in Huntsville, Alabama, and uses astronaut training techniques to engage trainees in concrete applications of STEM topics. Students sleep in neighborhoods designed to look like the ISS and train in simulators like those used by NASA. Since its inception in 1982, more than 750,000 trainees have graduated from Space Camp, including European Space Agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti and NASA astronauts Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, Kate Rubins and Serena Auñón who have recently joined the International Space Station. Children and teachers from 50 states and 69 countries participated in a space camp program.
