The white nationalist icon Richard Spencer is accused of having physically and emotionally abused his wife, according to information collected by BuzzFeed.

Nina Kupriyanov's lawyers have stated in divorce statements in the Flathead County District Court in Montana that Spencer physically abused her and scared her to call the police or seek additional protection, according to Nina Kupriyanov. Spencer told VICE News that he and his lawyers would issue a statement "in a moment", but BuzzFeed said he had disputed his allegations in court documents.

Spencer, 40, is also cited in a federal lawsuit accusing two dozen neo-Nazis and white nationalists of organizing the deadly "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in August. 2017. Koupriianov also alleges that Spencer injured her, causing her bruises, and that he once injured her jaw while she was pregnant.
