Mr. Lambert's appointment takes effect immediately, the company said. He was promoted to the position of his previous position of Chief Operating Officer at Richemont.

Meanwhile, the company announced Monday that its sales from April to August had increased sharply, thanks to the consolidation of its new activities YNAP and Watchfinder.

Richemont 's sales reached 5.67 billion euros ($ 6.55 billion), up 22% over the previous year. Richemont said it was up 25% at constant currency.

The Swiss company, known for its Cartier and Piaget brands, said growth was also driven by its jewelery division, where sales rose 11%.

Richemont said sales rose in all markets, with the exception of the Middle East and Africa. Sales grew double-digit in the Europe, Asia-Pacific and Americas regions, the company said.

Excluding YNAP and Watchfinder, August sales rose 7 percent, the company said.
