Rick and Morty has just won his first Emmy for his wildest episode

The original animated series of the adult bath Rick and Morty certainly took America by storm when it was created, and the show has accomplished quite a lot in the time since. Those who thought that the series might have reached its peak when it caused small riots and public excuses of McDonald's could still be correct, although the latest achievement of the series is certainly a little more prestigious or even more impressive. The show just won its first Emmy Creative Arts Award for Outstanding Animation Program, and all thanks to one of the most iconic episodes of Season 3, "Rick Pickle".

Rick and Morty"Rick Pickle" has fought a fierce competition in the category of outstanding animation programs, as three of his competitors have actually been category winners. The episode where Rick turns into boredom (and perhaps to avoid a family therapy session) was declared the winner over the submissions of former winners. The simpsons, South Park, Bob burger, and candidate for the first time Big Hero Six: The Series. It was also the first time the show was nominated for an Emmy, even though it had been on air since 2013.

Emmy's victory is surely a little surprise for the Rick and Morty the staff and the fan base, but still welcome news. The episode, inspired in part by the winning series Emmy breaking Bad, quickly gained popularity after its broadcast, with the phrase "I'm Rick Pickle" and the merchandise based on the episode spreading like wildfire. The episode has a lot of famous fans, including the The iron Throne showrunners and Peter Dinklage, who provided comments for the physical copy of the episode. "Pickle Rick" had so many connections with Emmy before his victory that a posteriori, it seems clear to me that it was the only clear choice to win. The only disappointment that could result could come from the creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, who would probably have liked this back when they were discussing contracts to ensure the future of the series.

Rick and MortyEmmy's victory was not the only victory for Adult Swim at Creative Arts Emmys 2018 Robot chicken won a prize for his short animation program. The price is the fifth in the history of the show and the fourth time in this category.
