Netflix announced at its Anime Lineup presentation event Tuesday that Rilakkuma and Kaoru (Rilakkuma in Kaoru-san), the animated series of San-XThe character of "Rilakkuma" will debut in the world on April 19th. Netflix also revealed that Mikako Tabe Kaoru, and will put on line a new trailer and a new visual for the series.
The anime was planned for 2018 via Netflix in 190 countries.
Masahito Kobayashi directs the anime at the dwarf studio (Domo), while Naoko Ogigami (Kamome Shokudō, Megane, Handmade) writes the scripts. The show will be animated in stop-motion.
The character's story begins when the owner Rilakkuma suddenly appears in the office worker Kaoru's apartment and begins to live there, spending each day resting. It has a zipper in the back, but the contents remain unknown. He likes foods like pancakes, rice with omelette, pudding and dango. He lives with the little white lion Korilakkuma and Kaoru's pet, Kiiroitori ("the yellow bird").
San-X launched the character in 2003. Aki Kondo created the character and plays the role of creative advisor for the anime.
