Rizin releases Floyd Mayweather vs. Tenshin Nasukawa fight promo

The surprise fight of the year between Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa now has gotten a new promo to hit the fight.

Fight fans were shocked to find out that Floyd Mayweather is coming out of retirement. Maybe UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the boxing ring or taking on a Conor McGregor in a mixed martial arts fight, neither of these fights will be next. Mayweather will be traveling to Japan to take a fight against Tenshin Nasukawa. Mayweather has been teasing an MMA fight for some time now, and even the ruleset for this fight has been announced, Rizin is quickly promoting this matchup with a video conference.

Following his retirement at 50-0, Mayweather never really stepped away from the limelight. Many fights have been rumored for the training field, among them some outside the boxing ring. Many believed that Mayweather and McGregor would have the opportunity to test their skills against each other again, this time in the UFC. Mayweather had been in touch with UFC President Dana White regarding a potential contract but nothing was ever signed. Following Nurmagomedov's dominating win over McGregor at UFC 229, he began to call out Mayweather for a fight as well.

Mayweather has been teasing his MMA training on social media since the fight with McGregor. He can be seen wearing MMA gloves in his latest Instagram post promoting the fight. He has posted his videos inside the cages calling out UFC fighters.

"As far as the weight class and the rules, we'll talk about that," said Mayweather at the press conference on Sunday night. "We'll get that within the next couple of weeks. This particular is a special tip as far as we're giving the people something they've never seen before. The world has never seen Mayweather compete live in Tokyo. Throughout the years, I've seen a lot of fans from Japan come to Las Vegas and come to the U.S., but me and my team said let's do something different. Let's go over to Japan.

The winner of the boxing championship on Dec. 31 at Rizin 14. The event will take place in the Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
