The BTS broke all expectations as they were on the scene at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday.

The play of seven articles addressed youth issues as part of UNICEF's collaboration with the group and its Love Yourself campaign.

The group marked the story with their appearance, as they were the first South Korean band to speak at the United Nations. Gathered by several distinguished delegates and young people from around the world at the launch of Youth 2030: the Generation Unlimited Program of the United Nations Youth Foundation and the United Nations Children's Fund, they joined the Army like never before .

The RM group leader, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, said it was an incredible honor to be able to deliver the speech, along with his colleagues V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope.

He began by talking about his own education in Ilsan, near Seoul, South Korea, admitting that as he grew up, he excluded his own voice and became "like a ghost" – but the music helped him.

"I looked up at the night sky and wondered. . . I imagined that I was a superhero who could save the world, "he said. "In the introduction of one of our old songs, there is a phrase that says that my heart stopped when I was nine or ten years old. Thinking back, I began to worry about what others thought of me. the eyes.

"I stopped watching the night sky and daydreaming.

"Soon, I started to shut up and listen to the voices of others.

"There was a little voice saying," Wake up and listen to yourself ". But it took me a long time to hear the music calling my real name. "

He continued, "Even after making the decision to join the BTS, some people might not believe it, but some people thought we were desperate, and sometimes I wanted to resign."

However, he added that he was lucky not to have abandoned everything because he said, "I'm sure I will and we will continue to fall like that.

"I am an ordinary guy of 24 years old. If there is something that I have achieved, it is only possible if my other BTS members are by my side and because of the love and support that our fans from the army brought us.

He added, "Yesterday, I am still. Today, I am who I am with all my faults and my mistakes … I came to love myself for who I am, for whom I was and for whom I hope to become.

He talked about the release of their Love Yourself albums and their Love Yourself campaign. He was contacted by army fans who explained to them how their messages helped them overcome their difficulties and begin to love each other.

He said the stories reminded them of their responsibility.

"No matter who you are, where you come from, your skin color, your gender identity, are you just talking about," said RM.

It may not be surprising that the internet went crazy about his passionate speech because they praised the group for its selfless message.

BTS – who are currently on a world tour – were praised for their contribution to social and charity campaigns in the past, in November the group and Big Hit Entertainment, their agency, signed a partnership agreement with the Launch of the campaign Love Myself to sponsor #ENDviolence – a global UNICEF initiative to ensure the safety of children and adolescents.

When BTS celebrated its fifth anniversary last June, Fore praised them and thanked them for raising more than a million US dollars for the campaign.

"Thank you @bts_twt and #BTSarmy for raising more than $ 1 million for #ENDviolence against children and youth! # 5thFlowerPathWithBTS ", the head of UNICEF posted on Twitter.
