Roman Reigns makes his first public appearance since the announcement of cancer

Even cancer will not stop the big dog from supporting Georgia Georgia Georgia Jackets during the week of rivalry.

Roman Reigns made his first public appearance on Saturday since he announced a WWE leave to seek treatment for leukemia. This announcement shocked the world of wrestling, as did the revelation that it is Reigns second fight against cancer.

Despite that, Reigns traveled to Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia on Saturday for the big game between the University of Georgia Bulldogs and his alma mater, Georgia Tech. Reigns (whose real name is Joseph Anoa) played for the Yellow Jackets as a defensive lineman in the mid-2000s.

Before the match began, a team of Georgia Tech turners met Reigns in the field and posted the clip on his Twitter page. You'll notice right away that Reigns has a fantastic look, which is great to see.

Georgia and Georgia Tech have a lasting rivalry, nicknamed "Clean, Old Fashioned Hate". The Yellow Jackets never defeated the Bulldogs when Reigns was part of the team. He was there on Saturday to support his former team and see if she could eliminate the country's number five team.

Unfortunately for Reigns and his other Georgia Tech fans, Georgia won the match 45-21. The Bulldogs are now 11-1 on the season while Georgia Tech has dropped to 7-5.

Reigns dropped out of the WWE Universal Championship in the opening minutes of Monday Night RAW on October 22nd. It was during this segment that the superstar announced her cancer diagnosis and her leave for treatment. He also revealed that he had lived a battle against cancer 11 years ago and was confident that he would still manage to defeat this disease.

Reigns is said to have started cancer treatments in early November. Although the exact time he will not stay in action is yet to come, there is no doubt that WWE fans can not wait for his return to the ring and television screens around the world.
