Rose McGowan, one of the most virulent advocates of the #MeToo movement, now says that the revolutionary calculation that has swept Hollywood over the past year is a "bull".

McGowan, 45, helped stir up the movement last fall by publicly declaring allegations of sexual assault against the dishonored Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The actress said Weinstein had raped her in a hotel room in 1997 and had put her career on a blacklist.

But a few days after the first anniversary of the #MeToo movement, the actress "Scream" said that the battle of Hollywood against sexual assault in the entertainment industry had only the depth.

"It's a lie – it's a lie to help them feel better," McGowan said in an interview with The Sunday Times in the UK. "I know these people, I know they have lily liver, and as long as it looks good on the surface, it's enough for them."

McGowan claimed to have been rejected by the #MeToo community, often left out of the survivors' brunches and campaign dinners, while she was one of the most virulent members.

"I just think they're showerbags, they're not champions, I just think they're losers, I do not like them," she said. "How can I explain the fact that I'm I received the GQ Homme award of the year and that no women's magazine or women's organization supported me? "

Charmed's alum vowed never to work in Hollywood again, adding that although she does not agree with President Donald Trump's policy, she shares one thing in common with her supporters.

"They hate Hollywood for being fake liberals – and they're 100 percent right. It's a group of fake liberals, "said McGowan. "It's a shit, and they know it's deep down, but they lead an empty life, and for me it's their punishment. They will live the life that they live. "

McGowan has doubled her critics on Meryl Streep, calling it "literally impossible" for the Academy Award-winning actress to be completely in the dark about Weinstein's predatory behavior.

The actress also gave up supporting Hillary Clinton for the same reason.

McGowan scored on Wednesday a year after laying charges against Weinstein on Twitter: "Today is the anniversary of one of the hardest years of my life, a year of tripping for many. I'm proud of ourselves. "
