Roseanne Barr finally shared what happened to her character during her eponymous show during her spin-off, The conners, arrives next month.
The disgraced TV star appeared on Brandon Straka's YouTube channel, Take a walk, Where she shared that her alter ego succumbs in a tragic and current way.
"Oh yes, they killed her," she said. "They have died from an opioid overdose."
But she did not stop there. The 65-year-old actress took the opportunity to take pictures of ABC and Disney for her dismissal after posting a racist tweet about White House associate Obama in the spring, Valerie Jarrett.
"It was not enough for [fire me]they had to insult so cruelly the people who loved this family and this show, "she said. "I can not do anything about it. It's done. It's over. There is no more fighting.
Earlier this month, she spoke with ET in New York about how she is trying to handle the correction of ABC's course.
"I just have to be neutral and go," said Barr. "I left so people could keep their jobs."
His former co-star, John Goodman, was the first to suggest that his character would be killed for the fallout to make sense.
"I guess it's going to be mopey and sad because his wife is dead," he said. The Sunday Times in August, asked about the state of mind of his character at the launch of the new show.
In the new interview, Barr also stated that she suspected that neither ABC nor the network's president, Channing Dungey, had ever wanted his show, hinting that these circumstances could have contributed to his release.
"Now that I see their way of thinking and what has happened to me since the beginning, that I was not really aware of my hard work, no, they probably never wanted my show at all. But [Walt Disney’s chairman and CEO] Bob Iger wanted it and he forced the president of ABC to take it and I do not think she wants it. And it's clear to me now, looking back.
The conners Preview on Tuesday October 16th at 8pm EST on ABC.
