RuPaul's Drag Race could be the first Emmy field for host and reality show

"RuPaul's Drag Race" might add a new page to the Emmy herstory: Emmy odds for Best Reality Host and Best Reality-Competition Program In the same year to boot.

Since the program race was added in 2003, only three shows have won: "The Amazing Race" (10 times), "Top Chef" (ounce) and "The Voice" (four times ). The hosts of those shows – Phil Keoghan Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio and Carson Daly – have never won the corresponding award, and Daisy has never been nominated.

The host category was created 10 years ago , producing a few more winners: five. Jeff Probst ("Survivor") won the first kiln, followed by Tom Bergeron ("Dancing with the Stars"), co-winners Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn ("Project Runway"), two-time field Jane Lynch ("Hollywood Game Night") and Charles RuPaul who's taken home the last two.

Charles has 10/3 odds to three-peat and "Drag Race" has the same edge to stop "The Voice" from claiming its fifth statuette and fourth in a row. That being said, "Drag Race" was the favorite predicted win last year. Oops. But last year was also the first time the show cracked the category, so it could be a case of baby steps.
