Ryan Lochte causes a car accident after the incident kicks in a hotel door to the alcohol

Lochte was driving to Gainesville, Florida, Thursday around 9:45 pm, when he stopped a car.

Lochte had just landed at Gainsville after leaving Orange County, California, where he had knocked on the door of his hotel room at around 3am. Cops were called, came to the hotel but no arrests were made. Lochte settled in the hotel and simplified things.

As for the car accident, according to the police report, Lochte was driving his Porsche to his home when he realized that he was on the verge of to hit the car in front of him and hit him on the brakes at the last minute … to no avail.

The driver of the car hit by Lochte was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries that did not put his life in danger. Lochte was fine and was cited for "reckless driving". There is no mention of alcohol in the police report.

Lochte's lawyer, Jeff OstrowRyan told Friday at TMZ Sports: "Ryan has been fighting alcohol addiction for many years and unfortunately he has become a destructive model for him." Ostrow says Lochte realizes that he needs professional help and go get it.
