The key to any successful relationship, whether personal or professional, is solid communication. After all, this is what allows you and your partners to find a unified deal, which is usually ideal.
However, communication is perhaps not the strongest aspect of the partnership between Virgin Atlantic's founder, Richard Branson, and Aviation American Gin owner Ryan Reynolds.
Today, Virgin Atlantic released a video announcing its exclusive partnership with the Reynolds gas company, whose proceeds will now be broadcast on the company's flights and flags.
Reynolds, however, seems to have proposed another proclamation: a complete merger between the two companies, which will result in a combined entity known as "AviaVirgination". Reynolds seems a little too immersed in his newly acquired business jargon and his entrepreneurial goals to really become aware. Although he is not exactly an Oscar-winning actor, Branson plays with gag, becoming more and more frustrated until he breaks loose.
To celebrate this great team, on September 30th, passengers aboard Virgin Atlantic flights will enjoy a special mixology experience led by bartenders from the best bars in the world, from the Dead Rabbit in New York to Smuggler's Cove in San Francisco .
And, in all honesty, Branson and Reynolds seem to be mutual fans who are delighted to work together in such an iconic way.
"I am delighted that Virgin Atlantic is working with Ryan and his team on this partnership," Branson said in a more direct announcement. "Aviation Gin was born of a spirit of innovation, so serving it aboard Virgin Atlantic flights seemed like the perfect combination."
Reynolds adds, "I've been a big fan of Sir Richard Branson and Virgin for years. For Aviation, being chosen as the gin of choice for such an iconic and typically British brand, it's a complete honor. We look forward to serving Virgin Atlantic's guests for years to come and, on a personal note, Sir Richard has promised to teach me the difference between income and profits, so I'm more than excited .
This latest spot can be added to the marketing list which is somehow instantly improved with the addition of Ryan Reynolds.
For Aviation Gin, Reynolds' relatively recent role as owner was a marketing move, thanks to stunts like the Reynolds interview with his supposed twin brother and a messaging effort that melted the Mettant brand's servers. featured Jimmy Fallon.
