David Mesher apologized saying he had "a tantrum"
Ryanair passenger filming a tirade about an elderly woman on a plane apologized and denied that he was racist.
David Mesher was on a Barcelona-Stansted flight on October 19 when he started insulting Delsie Gayle.
He told Good Morning Britain of ITV that it was "not at all racist" and that "it was just a tantrum at the time".
Gayle, 77, and her daughter Carol Gayle rejected her apology.

Speaking Friday, Mr. Mesher, of Birmingham, said the dispute with Ms. Gayle had begun to take its place.
"I probably lost my temper and ordered him to get up," he said.
"I'm by no means a racist person and I think it's just a tantrum at the time."
"I'm sorry for all the distress you've had there and since."

The incident took place on the tarmac at Barcelona airport before the flight took off for Stansted. The police announced that they would provide information to the Spanish authorities in due time, in accordance with national protocols.
West Midlands police officers assisted the Essex police by speaking to Mr. Mesher in his protected dwelling at Yardley Wood on Thursday.
