Ryder Cup 2018: How Europe won the victory over the United States

Patrick Reed said that his US Ryder Cup teammate, Jordan Spieth, did not want to be matched with him in their 17½-10½ defeat to Europe.

Masters champion Reed played with Spieth in 2014 and 2016, winning four wins and halving two of his seven games.

But in Paris, he teamed up with Tiger Woods, while Spieth played with Justin Thomas.

Reed also criticized Captain Jim Furyk's decision to remove him from two meetings and suggested that Europe was more united.

"Everyday [in the team room] I saw: "Leave your ego at the door," said Reed, 28, at The New York Times.
