LONDON – Ryanair was the subject of criticism after a video upload showed that the airline's crew had taken no action to remove a passenger who had launched a racist tirade against a fellow traveler.

The video, uploaded on social media by Briton David Lawrence, showed a man tossing racist slurs to an old black woman sitting in the same row and demanding that she move her seats aboard a flight to Barcelona -London Friday.

We did not know what motivated the quarrel. Lawrence told ITV that the man had abused the woman and her daughter, but that the flight attendants had failed to expel him from the flight.

The low-cost airline tweeted Sunday that she had seen the footage and reported the incident to the police. He did not provide any other comment.
