Safeway Store at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Glisan Street Closes
KOIN reports that the store will close on Aug. 18 due to declining sales, according to a company spokesman.
The spokesman said:
This is the second ad of its kind in the grocery chain since May, when Safeway decided to close its Jantzen Beach store. Fred Meyer ceased operations at his location at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Foster Road in January
The northeastern closure of Portland leaves buyers with few options accessible from East 122nd Avenue and the Burnside MAX Station. The Safeway formwork parking is located one block north of the TriMet stop.
