Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen will make his first NFL start on Sunday and Mike Glennon will support him, meaning Sam Bradford will be quarterback and inactive, according to ESPN sources.

Bradford will lose the chance to win the $ 312,500 bonus that will apply when he is on the list of 46 active players, according to sources.

If Bradford stays the quarterback for the rest of the season – and unless there is an injury, there is a real chance – he would lose more than $ 4 million in bonuses while the Cardinals would save as much against their ceiling wage.

Cardinals coach Steve Wilks named Rosen, Arizona's first round pick in April, as a new starter, saying the rookie "gives us a chance to succeed". Wilks also said that he had had no reaction from the hospitality desk.

Rosen replaced Bradford in the defeat against Chicago Bears with 4 minutes and 31 seconds in the game and played the last two orders. He attempted to place the remote offensive for a goal on the field, but was intercepted to end his first outing and then was fired until the end of the match.

Bradford only managed 400 yards and two touchdowns and launched four interceptions in three starts for the winless cardinals.

Josh Weinfuss of ESPN contributed to this report.
