Sandwich with duck breast vacuum … in a fast food?

You know Arby, mainly as a roast beef sandwich provider.

But more and more, this fast food chain is increasingly interested in smoked meats – and sometimes more exotic products.

Last October, Arby's offered a venison sandwich.

This year, it's a duck breast from Maple Leaf Farms, seized and cooked under vacuum, and served – rightly – with a smoked cherry sauce. The meat is garnished with crisp onions on a bun.

Nationally, sixteen Arby will be serving duck sandwiches in limited quantities ($ 6.99) starting Saturday, October 20th. In California, the only one is in Chico.

Why Chico? For this promotion, the restaurant appeals to hunters and others living near waterfowl "flyways".

"This year, we're throwing a hat at the swamp men and women, waiting for the sunrise to set up their lures and waiting patiently for the chicken to fly," Arby's said on his website.

Alas, this means that customers in the Bay Area who spend more than $ 30 for duck dishes are not the target audience. All they need to do is set the GPS on 2485 Notre-Dame Blvd. in Chico.
