SANFORD, Fla. – An Amber alert was issued for 3 month old Na 'tori Mazion, who was reportedly last seen in Sanford. She could travel with an alleged abductor in a 2017 red Nissan Altima with black rims and black tinted windows and bearing the 4ALWY license plate number.
Sanford Police Department spokesman Ronny Neal said the investigators did not have any information that would lead them to believe that the girl was at risk of injury.
"What's important is that we know that Natori is safe," said Neal. "We want to make sure the family understands that the police department is investigating this case and that it is serious."
Na 'Tori was last seen at the Park at Ravello apartment complex located at 401 West Seminole Boulevard. She is described as measuring 1 foot 9 inches, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink and gray top with the inscription "princess" on the front, a pink tutu, a pink headband and shoes made of transparent jelly.
The alert refers to the alleged abductor as the baby's father, Tedrick Mazion, 31, of Sanford. Mazion is described as a bald man measuring six feet and one inch, with brown eyes and a beard. Neal explained that Mazion wore a white tank top, blue denim shorts and red sandals.
According to Neal, Mazion entered the residence of Na's mother in the apartment complex around 8:30, where he removed the baby, even after his mother tried to arrest him. A physical altercation erupted between the two, but Neal said there was no indication that Na 'tori had been hurt.
According to Neal, Mazion is no longer involved in Na's life since his birth. He said that Mazion and Na's mother had a history of domestic violence.
"Whenever you have acts of violence, be it from the past to the present, it's an important thing we're looking at," said Neal.
Other law enforcement agencies also participated in the research. Neal said that the survey is very active.
"For now, it's the number one priority," said Neal. "Whenever we have a child who is removed from a home or who is in danger or of any kind of danger, we take it seriously."
Authorities ask anyone with information to call the Sanford Police Department at 407-688-5070 or 911.
