The Duke of York today presented a personal photo of his ex-wife in what appears to be his home in Windsor, Royal Lodge, at the age of 59.

Dressed in a sky blue pleated dress and a leather jacket near a lobby window, Prince Andrew wrote on his personal Twitter account: "Happy birthday to @SarahtheDuchess. Wishing you a very good day!

The Duchess of York then shared the same picture on her Instagram account, thanking Emanuel Ungaro and Jad Ghandour for her outfit.

They were also behind her emerald green long dress that she wore when receiving her daughter Princess Eugenie after her royal wedding on Friday.

The couple has been rumored that they may end up after appearing close to the royal wedding of their daughter, Princess Eugenie, on Friday.

Eugenie, 28, describes them as "the best divorced couple I know", the two couples living together at the royal residence and staying close for the sake of their children.

Sarah and Andrew separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996, when Fergie was blacklisted by Prince Philip for being photographed being sucked by a man from St Tropez.

Since then, she has worked in the background to try to find her way back to the royal firm.

The queen always thought she loved Sarah, but Prince Philip can not bear to be in the same room as her, it was understood.

He could be seen turning away from Fergie in the official portrait of Eugenie's royal wedding, although the couple seemed cordial during the ceremony.

Sarah sat with the royal family at Eugenie's ceremony, although she is no longer a member.

She had been forced to sit further in the same church at Prince Harry's wedding with Meghan Markle.

Sarah and Andrew were seen on a family outing on horseback with Princess Beatrice a week before the wedding of Princess Eugenie, forming a united front before the big day.

And they hosted a joint reception party for Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank at Royal Lodge after the Queen's champagne reception.

Royal observers have speculated that the couple may end up after years of loyalty to each other.

If they decide to remarry, they will not be obliged to obtain permission from the Queen, after Prince Andrew has fallen to the seventh row of the throne, as a result of the Prince's birth William, Kate's third child, Prince Louis.

Only members of the royal family up to the sixth position of the throne must seek permission from the queen.

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew rescued each other during troubled times as Prince Andrew paid £ 1.5 million in debt to Fergie while she was in financial difficulty.

In addition to sharing a house in Windsor, where Fergie has his own wing, they spend time together in their ski chalet in Verbier, Switzerland.

The 13-million-pound cottage, which has seven rooms, was bought four years ago on their behalf.
