Track Palin, 29, the eldest son of former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-president Sarah Palin, was arrested for assaulting a female acquaintance at her home Friday night.

Police responded to a report of "unrest" at the Palins in Wasilla, Alaska at around 10:30 pm

"When the acquaintance tried to call the authorities, he prevented him by taking away his phone," said a dispatch report from the Alaska Public Security Department. "While being placed under arrest, Palin physically resisted the soldiers."

The military veteran has been charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), obstructing reports of domestic violence, resistance to arrest and disorderly conduct.

On Saturday, Track Palin said he was "not guilty" on all four counts, local KTUU reported.

Palin is currently being held at Mat-Su Pretrial Detention Center in Palmer without bail, police said.

Friday's arrest is the latest in a series of incidents involving the ex-governor's son. Palin was placed on probation in January 2016 for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Jordan Lowe, and pointing a gun at him.

He was also arrested in December 2017 for alleged assault on his father, Todd Palin. According to the charge documents obtained by the Los Angeles Time, an intoxicated Palin reportedly beat his father several times after breaking into his parents' home.

Palin called the police who arrived on the "peasant" premises and told them to drop their weapons on the ground, according to the officers' statements.

As part of a plea agreement, Mr. Palin pleaded guilty to first degree criminal charges.

After her arrest in January 2016, Sarah Palin suggested that her son was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) during a rally for Donald Trump in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
