This morning, in an email, founder Adam Zacks confirmed that Sasquatch would end his 17-year run.

"Today, we bid farewell to Sasquatch !," Zacks announced, "I will not produce the Festival anymore, and it will not be in 2019."

Today we take a salute and say goodbye to Sasquatch! I will not produce the Festival, nor will I do it in 2019. The Festival started 17 years ago on an intuition, the verdict on nothing more than a name and instinct there was room for something with a unique Northwestern flavor, Remembrance Day weekend, at one of the most beautiful places on Earth – The Gorge. 17 years old, it is long to do any thing. The Beatles only lasted 8 years, a fact so amazing that it is hard to believe.

Although we did not do anything as indelible as "Hey Jude," the Festival left a lasting imprint and proudly represented an independent spirit. Sasquatch! will forever remain a tapestry of the people who have worked with us, the artists who inspired us, and the varied experiences of the fans who participated … friendships, engagements, weddings, permanent tattoos , unique collaborations both treacherous and beautiful, at least a very public design, and, of course, hundreds of inspiring representations. My humble gratitude to you all. That the spirit that made Sasquatch! so special live. Forward to the Next Adventure

That's okay we miss beautiful party, and hope to see something so great in the throat to follow … or maybe someone new to pick up the coat?
