Sasquatch! The Music Festival will not take place in 2019, Willamette Week reports. Founder Adam Zacks announced the new Thursday.
"Today, we bow and say goodbye to Sasquatch !," Zacks said in a statement. "I will not produce the festival anymore, nor will it be in 2019." It is not known if the festival could be taken over by another entity in the future.
In 2002, Zacks launched Sasquatch !, which was held each year at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington. The event this year, which took place over the Memorial Day weekend, featured Bon Iver, the national and modest mouse. Over the years, the festival has gone from a single day to a three day event (it lasted four days from 2011 to 2013). In 2014, the Memorial Day weekend festival was expanded to include a weekend edition of July 4th, but the second holiday weekend was canceled after failing to generate enough support from the part of the fans. Last year, Frank Ocean unraveled his appearance in the lead a few weeks before the start of the festival.
