After eight weeks of football, we have an idea of what is going on in the teams and what is still worrying.
The Saints were in the top 3 of our ESPN NFL Power rankings for the first time, but their 28th high play was, well, scary for most of the season. But no team is perfect. In honor of Halloween, the NFL nation has presented scary trends in the first half for the 32 NFL teams.
How We Rank: Our group of experts – a group of more than 80 writers, editors and TV personalities – evaluated how teams have accumulated during the first eight weeks of the season.

The Rams are the only undefeated team in the NFL, but they are convinced that there is still much to be done to improve. And they are right, starting with the defense. The D has been engaged several times, including victories over the Chargers and Vikings. But it is total defense in 13th place in the league and has sometimes been vulnerable against running and more recently against the pass. – Lindsey Thiry
Record: 7-1
Week 8 ranking: 2
The Chiefs had trouble finishing some of their games. They had to sweat at the end of the victories against the Chargers, Steelers, 49ers and Broncos after having a big lead. All this is not related to their defense, which played well in some of these games. Most of the time, the leaders have not been good enough to kill the clock. They have had the worrying tendency to be three years old and older when they need to keep possession. – Adam Teicher
Record: 6-1
Week 8 ranking: 4
The Saints' defense was imposed during the win Sunday night in Minnesota, forcing two turnovers. But they still rank 28th in the NFL in number of allowed passes per game, 30th in number of pass attempts and 30th as a passer. They must continue their recent improvement – especially with the powerful offense committed by the Rams in town in the ninth week. – Mike Triplett
Record: 6-2
Week 8 ranking: 3
The Patriots started their Monday night game against Buffalo, having not played in a match without an offensive turnout. For a team that has traditionally been one of the league leaders in terms of turnover difference, this is a concern that was noted weekly by coach Bill Belichick. – Mike Reiss

Can shippers be road warriors? With four of their next seven games on the road – including two consecutive starts – they will need to win some victories outside LA in the second half of the season to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2013. Chargers are 9-18 on the road since the start of the 2015 season, which ranks 25th in the NFL. – Eric Williams

Week 8 ranking: 9
Aside from Sunday's win against Baltimore, the Panthers were notorious for the slow starts – for both halves. And even against the Ravens, they are 7-0 behind the first set. The previous two weeks, they took 17-0. Although they are 5-2, they played a lot of catching up. – David Newton
Record: 4-2-1
Week 8 ranking: 8
The Steelers were pushed to give up football. The Pittsburgh offense has been 11 fumbles in seven games, including five for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and three for half James Conner. The offense recorded 15 fumbles all last season. Although many fumbles have been found, coach Mike Tomlin attaches paramount importance to the safety of the ball. – Jeremy Fowler
Record: 4-3-1
Week 8 ranking: 6
The inability of the Vikings to consistently win the battle of turnover is becoming a concern. It's all about Kirk Cousins' inopportune mistakes (he's leading the league in escaped and fumbles lost since he became a starter in 2015) or in a series of mistakes occurred in the defeat of the Vikings against the Saints, Minnesota is 0-3-1 in games in which they are on the wrong side of the turnover differential. – Courtney Cronin

While the fouls were scored at record levels, Philadelphia did the opposite. The Eagles are ranked 21st with an average of 22.2 points per game, a decrease of more than six points from their Super Bowl season (28.6 points per game). Carson Wentz, Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz are the main producers. The rest of the cast needs to get back into play if Philly wants to compete with Saints and Rams in the far right. – Tim McManus

Joe Flacco had trouble throwing the ball deep. He has one of the strongest arms in the NFL, but the Ravens can not stretch the pitch. In the past four games, Flacco have scored 1 of 13 passes that have run at least 15 yards past the line of scrimmage. The lack of explosiveness puts too much pressure on Baltimore to mesh long distances. His 5.89 yards per attempt in October are the worst in the NFL. – Jamison Hensley

Packers can not win on the road. They have lost to the Redskins, Lions and Rams, and they have three of the other four to get away from Lambeau Field – among the Patriots, Seahawks and Vikings. "We are 3-0-1 at home, we know we are hard to beat at home," Aaron Rodgers said after his loss to the Rams. "Now we know we can play with anyone, if we did not know it already, so we have to go to New England and beat a very good football team." – Rob Demovsky

Week 8 ranking: 11
The Bengals have lost at least 480 yards in the last three games and are poised to break the NFL record for the most yards allowed in a season. They continue to say that they have to settle small details and focus on their own tasks, but in recent weeks they have not corrected the problem. It will be a problem with the arrival of the saints in town in two weeks. – Katherine Terrell

Week 8 ranking: 14
The Redskins have won less than 200 yards in each of the last three games – all won. It's the first time for more than four seasons that coach Jay Gruden has managed to less than this total in three straight games. The Redskins' race on both sides of the ball was fantastic and their main reason for being 5-2 and in the first place. But at some point, they need the passing game to be more productive. – John Keim

The quarterback of the Bears, Mitchell Trubisky, is hit or miss. His inconsistency has been a trend almost all season, with the notable exception of his brilliant performance of six touchdowns against the Bucs at the end of September. When Trubisky is on, he's really good. When he left, he really left. – Jeff Dickerson
Matthew Berry is confident that Doug Baldwin will start having better days and improve his fantastic production.

Week 8 ranking: 16
The Seahawks have done a lot of things by winning four of their last five games, but they have not solved the penalty problem for good. They have an average of 7.4 penalties per game, the seventh highest total in the NFL. Although this is an improved pace compared to last season, when they led the league and set a questionable franchise record with 148 penalties accepted (9.3 per game), it's still a concern. – Brady Henderson
Record: 5-3

In the middle of the season, the offensive line of the Texans allowed Deshaun Watson to be sacked 26 times. The unit has improved over the last two weeks, but Houston must be able to keep his young quarterback up if he wants him to recover from injuries to the ribs and lungs and stay healthy the rest of the season . – Sarah Barshop

The third defense could really haunt the Falcons this season if they do not correct it immediately. At the present time, they are the penultimate division of the league allowing opponents to convert 54.1% of the third tries, and allowing the Steelers to convert 75% to 41-17. . In two of the Falcons' three wins, they limited their opponents to less than 46% in the third attempt. – Vaughn McClure
Record: 3-5
Week 8 ranking: 15
It's hard to pick a single scary trend as the season is turning to disaster, but the inability of the Jaguars to run the ball (95 yards per game, after leading the NFL in 2017), handcuffs the # 39; offensive. Leonard Fournette (hamstring) injuries, every spot on the offensive line (they are on their third-row left tackle) and tight-tipped are the main reasons. Quarterback Blake Bortles is not good enough to carry the offensive without it, and his penchant for reversing the situation only makes things worse. – Mike DiRocco

The dolphin run defense is running at high speed. Miami is tied for the third-worst run defense, allowing 143.1 yards per game. The teams started attacking Miami thoroughly, as Detroit and Houston have done in the past two games for a combined 436 rushing yards. The Dolphins surrendered 10 rushes of more than 20 yards and three rushes over 40 yards, both among the worst in the NFL. – Cameron Wolfe
Matthew Berry explains why he is worried that Lions are getting more into the race, so Kenny Golladay will go into the background.

The Detroit race defense might have added Damon "Snacks" Harrison, but it's still a work in progress. Detroit allowed Seattle to gain 176 yards on the ground (4.2 yards per race) and the Lions knew the Seahawks were going to hit the ball on the ground. While there is hope for improvement as the team learns to play against Harrison, the Lions will not have much time to adjust with strong defensemen in November and early December (Jordan Howard / Tarik Cohen twice, Christian McCaffrey and Todd Gurley II and eventually Dalvin Cook). – Michael Rothstein

The Cowboys have no win away from home and their season could cancel with consecutive road games against the Eagles and Falcons on November 11th and 18th. The attack was smothered. The Cowboys converted just 14 of 52 chances in the third downhill and scored just five touchdowns on 47 possessions in the first four road games. In the first two years of Dak Prescott as a starting quarterback, the Cowboys lost just four road games. They equaled that total already in 2018. – Todd Archer

Opponents seek ways to generate explosive games by forcing the Titans, the latter, to bite on the underlying routes, allowing a deep road to open. The Chargers scored two touchdowns using this route combination during week 7. The Titans' defensive backs must be more disciplined and ignore the teaser routes. – Turron Davenport

The Broncos have sometimes been at the height of the league's league, losing three games against the Chiefs (twice) and the Rams by a total of 13 points. But they continue to hurt themselves with penalties, turnarounds, misjudgements and stubbornness for the offensive. The Broncos claim to be better than their record, but the more they are beaten because of their own mistakes, the harder it is for anyone to believe it. – Jeff Legwold

It's been almost 11 years, but the Colts can finally say that they still beat 100 yards in back-to-back matches. Half-season half Marlon Mack continued his 126-yard performance against Buffalo in Week 7 with 132 yards against Oakland on Sunday. Joseph Addai was the last driver to accomplish this feat when he crossed the 100-yard mark on October 28 and November 4, 2007. – Mike Wells

In four games and three starts, Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, in the fourth year, has already returned the ball 11 times, with 10 interceptions, including four Sunday against the Bengals. For a defense that averages 415.3 yards per game, it's a total nightmare as head coach Dirk Koetter fights for his job. – Jenna Laine

Baker Mayfield was sacked 19 times in five starts, a trend that would equate to 61 for one season. Mayfield takes too many bags and hits. All that has been learned from Mayfield this season is positive, but the Browns must also worry about his mental well-being for the future. – Pat McManamon

Isaiah Crowell has become the invisible man since his record performance of 219 yards in the fifth week. In the last three games, he has only 92 yards on 37 runs, a mediocre average of 2.5 yards. While Crowell struggles and his teammate Bilal Powell (neck) is ready for the season, the pressure is too strong on rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. – Rich Cimini

There are plenty of spooky statistics on the Bills' inertia, but the problems are starting in the quarterback, where Josh Allen, Nathan Peterman and Derek Anderson have combined to get a 48.8 mark for smugglers this season. For a season, this would be the second lowest level of the NFL since 1980. Only the Chargers in 1998, when Ryan Leaf and Craig Whelihan, combined for a score of 44.9, were worse. – Mike Rodak

Divert the offense of the giants. They can not enter the end zone if they have not scored two goals in the final minutes. They did it again after Sunday's loss to the Redskins. It was the fifth time of the season that they scored one of those touchdowns. They have only 14 touchdowns this season. – Jordan Raanan

To say that the cardinals' halftime adjustments do not work could be the least we can say of the season. Arizona scored just seven points in the third quarter of the season – all in Week 7 against Denver – which is the least in the NFL. The Cardinals drew in the third quarter in the first six games, making their already difficult life even harder when it's time for them to come back down. In order for the Cardinals to have any hope of changing seasons, they will have to find ways to score after half-time. – Josh Weinfuss

You would have a hard time finding a more terrifying trend than the usual Niners to turn the situation into an attack and not to create a defense attack. In eight games, the operating margin of the Niners is minus 13, tied for the worst margin in the league. No statistics in the game are a better indicator of wins and losses. It is not surprising then that the Niners are sitting at 1-7 mid-race, considering their problems in this category. – Nick Wagoner

It's hard to find sniffers, as Jon Gruden said – after exchanging Khalil Mack. He also noted that the Oakland defense was not as hot with Mack last season. Here is something else that is decidedly not so hot: the seven bags of the Raiders league. That's 20 less than the Ravens tops the standings. In fact, seven players have more bags than the Raiders as a team, and 10 players have at least as much as Oakland. Yuck. – Paul Gutierrez
