Two girls, 2 and 4, witnessed horror as their father was shot dead during a camping trip to southern California, reports said.
Tristan Beaudette, 35, from Irvine, California, was bleeding from a chest injury when MPs found her in an early tent on a Friday at a state park campground. Malibu Creek. The girls were unscathed.

MPs said they had no leads, no suspects and no motives, reported KCBS Los Angeles.
"We are working like a homicide at this point," said Lt. Rodney Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office at the Los Angeles Times. "We collect evidence … it will take time."

The newspaper reports that the area where the shooting took place is frequented by hikers and hikers one day.
