Scientists know Mars well, especially his appearance. But the sound is much more difficult to see on this red planet and even more to listen. We simply do not have powerful microphones that can hear the sound of the wind in the Martian plains.

And now, scientists from the University of Anglia, Ruskin and Exeter University have created an interesting music not only inspired by Mars, but actually made up of a computer algorithm that took the sunrise on Mars in the original data.

The result is a surprisingly pleasant music that you can hear yourself. This passage only lasts a few minutes. If you find yourself one day on Mars and you have the chance to hear the same sounds with your ears, you will have something to compare.

To produce a sound, the scientists created a piece of music, scanning the image from left to right, pixel by pixel, studying the information of brightness and color and combining them with the lifting surface. The algorithm then assigned each element to a specific tone and melody.

"We are excited to present this work on such an interesting planet," said Dr. Domenico Vicinanza, one of the project's scientists. "The sound image is a fairly flexible research method, it can be used in various fields, from the study of certain characteristics of the surface and the atmosphere of the planet and ends with the analysis of meteorological changes or the detection of volcanic eruptions ".

The work itself will be "executed" at the SC18 Supercomputer Conference in Dallas on November 13th. Listeners will hear sound through normal speakers and "vibration transducers".
