SAN FRANCISCO – Officers are investigating reports of the presence of a person on a motorized electric scooter in Interstate 80 eastbound on the Bay Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly after 5 pm, the CHP received information about the person and the scooter in the right lane of the bridge's lower deck, said a CHP officer.
A driver in a rush hour traffic jam described the person to agents as moving to the east at a maximum speed of 5 mph, then dancing briefly before getting on and off and screaming after the vehicles.
A call to the CHP office in San Francisco was not immediately returned.
