Sean and Catherine Lowe's son is in intensive care.
theBachelor The couple revealed on Instagram Friday that their youngest son, Isaiah, 5 months old, had been hospitalized for bronchiolitis. Sean explained that Isaiah would be treated at the hospital for a few more days, but that his prognosis was good.
"Long story short – we took our little guy to the pediatrician yesterday for a bad cough that he developed and found himself in the pediatric intensive care unit," he writes next from a photo of Catherine leaning over the Isaiah hospital bed. "We're still here and will probably stay for a few more days, Isaiah has bronchiolitis and her little body is struggling to find enough oxygen."
"He does not have the best time, but the doctors and nurses have been great and we are very grateful for taking him to the doctor when we did," continued Sean. "We are confident that he will be fine, but prayers are always welcome."
"Holding my little one so tight ❤️ Thank you for all your prayers and your kind comments.I think they're working," added Catherine Saturday morning.
Sean and Catherine, who got engaged in the season 17 of The single person in 2013, married in 2014. They welcomed their first child, son Samuel, in July 2016 and Catherine gave birth to Isaiah in May 2018.
"I've probably become more emotional with this second movie," Sean told ET in June about life with two kids. "I watched the news and saw this sad story. It's something that has pissed me off as before. I had children. I am thinking of life insurance and the means I need to make sure my family is caring for me. "
"There is something about having two children where you really feel like a family," he added. "I do not know what it is, maybe because I was one of two children. A family of four feels different from the family of three. We definitely stopped a few times and said, "Is not that strange?" Our friends and family have signed us up for this old-fashioned reality TV show, and here we are, five years later. It's so surreal. And personally, I do not really feel old enough to have two children, nor mature enough! It's so, so surreal. "
