Heavy sport Saturday in LA

Arizona-UCLA was probably the least exciting match for Los Angeles sports fans on Saturday night, and it's not a big hit for the Wildcats or Bruins.
Just think of what was happening at 7:30 pm: the Dodgers were sentenced to a match of the 7th match against the Brewers in Milwaukee. And on the other side of town, LeBron James was making his home debut for the Lakers. Their opponent: the Houston West Rockets, finalists from the West.
All this was done for a fun pre-match. UCLA's tail guards watched the playoff baseball from the parking lot and the adjacent golf course. The game was finally put on the video card of the Rose Bowl. A rookie from Arizona makes history in Texas
Arizona QB commit Grant Gunnell has been adopted by Drew Brees, Keenum Case, Nick Foles and Andrew Luck, among others, in Texas preparation history books.
Wildcats commit Grant Gunnell became the state of Texas, the leading contender in the assists in the 34-14 win over Concordia Lutheran. Gunnell, who plays at St. Pius X High School in Houston, completed 21 of 31 passes for a total of 487 yards and five touchdowns. He totaled 14,577 yards, which is 14 times more than Hunter Lile in 2011-14.
The 6-foot-6, 222-pound Gunnell has doubled notable Texas quarters en route. How is it for who is who? Drew Brees, Nick Foles, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Keenum Case, Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield all rank below Gunnell.
Gunnell racked up 4,973 yards in sophomore in 2016, making it the fifth-best total in a season in Texas history. He started for 4,936 yards last year, ranking him sixth overall.
Gunnell is engaged in Arizona in June. Scouting services say he is the highest ranked rookie in the 2019 Wildcats category.
Engagement in the game
At the left encounter with UCLA coach, Chip Kelly, before Saturday night's game, Kevin Sumlin clinched a commitment in 2019 in the middle of the match.
While Arizona took a 27-24 lead in the fourth quarter on Saturday, the Wildcats still scored.
Ahina "Rocky" Aitogi, a 6-foot-8, 340-pound offensive striker from Fort Scott College, Kansas, verbally committed during the match.
The AU offered a scholarship to Atogi on Tuesday. He became the 12th player in the Arizona recruiting class in 2019. Atogi grew up in Kona, Hawaii.
Welcome, Noel
Offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone coached UCLA from 2012 to 2015.
It was the reunion weekend for UCLA, and several former Bruins went to the Rose Bowl.
Some of them were trained from the sideline of the visitor. AU offensive coordinator, Noel Mazzone, coached at UCLA from 2012 to 2015.
During his four-year spell with the Bruins, Mazzone led Brett Hundley and Cardinals rookie Josh Rosen.
He also coached quarterback Jerry Neuheisel, who is now part of Chip Kelly's staff at UCLA. Neuheisel led the Bruins to an upset win over Texas in 2014; his father Rick, sacked from his Bruins coaching post following the 2011 season, watched it from Pac-12 Networks Studios.
AU cornerback coach Demetrice Martin also has a blue blood: he coached at UCLA from 2011 to 17 and was Jim Mora's 2014 assistant head coach at his departure, until Mora is fired at the end of last season.

Saturday marked the seventh anniversary of Arizona's victory over UCLA 48-12 in 2011.
It was the first match of Arizona acting coach Tim Kish, who took over from Mike Stoops after being fired a few weeks earlier.
Nick Foles had 291 yards and three touchdowns in the Wildcats' surprise win. The game is probably best known for the crash that took place just before half-time.
A supporter disguised as the match official ran on the pitch just before halftime, stopped a game, was undressed and ran before being stopped by the security and forces of the team. ;order.
After 15 minutes of fan glory, Arizona and UCLA took part in a skirmish that delayed the game.
The large number
Arizona quarterback Rhett Rodriguez had two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first career start on Saturday night.
Arizona has been recruiting a kid from the region for years before Rhett Rodriguez took over on Saturday. A graduate of Rincon High School, Billy Prickett began his first game with the Wildcats in 1991, when the AU played against UCLA – and lost 54-14. Rodriguez, the son of former coach Rich Rodriguez, attended Catalina Foothills High School.
