The senator, a Trump outspoken critic, was referring to Trump's comments after meeting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The NBC News report, which quoted five officials familiar with an assessment of US intelligence, said that Korea is trying to deceive the United States and shows that it reduces nuclear production.
"There is nothing to indicate that they are reducing stocks or that they have stopped their production," said a senior official at the news agency. Summit with Kim in Singapore earlier this month, Trump touted the meeting as an overwhelming success. He has since praised Kim, complimenting the North Korean leader's negotiating skills and saying that he "loves his people". Kim's regime is accused of starving people in North Korea and torturing prisoners.
The skeptics of the meeting noted that Trump has signed an agreement that provides for concessions without a concrete commitment to a timetable and irreversible denuclearization method. They also pointed out that North Korea has reached similar agreements in the past, only to return.
