There was a series of cameos we were hoping "Saturday Night Live" would include when Seth Meyer, former senior screenwriter and host of "Weekend Update", was back for his comeback episode: Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon and Fred Armisen would all could add a fun backward element of the episode.

These old faces "SNL" were notably absent. But nothing more than the character of Bill Hader, "Stefon", the nightlife correspondent of Ed Hardy who married Seth during "Weekend Update" after years of flirting at the office.

The most popular non-official "Saturday Night Live" couple was last seen four years ago. We would be lying if we said that we were not expecting an update desperately. Are they still married? Is a Stefon Jr. on the way? Shy, Stefon's leather lawyer (John Mulaney), still offers dubious legal advice?

But the appearance of "Weekend Update" from Meyers has granted us a new segment of "Really ?!" that he popularized during his tenure "Update" and has since continued as the host of "Late Night with Seth Meyers".

Nevertheless, Twitter fans were less than pleased with the absence of Hader cameo.

"I'm so sad that I did not even get a Cameo from an old actor," a user wrote. "I thought I could count on Stefon at least."

"I never trust anyone," wrote another, referring to "SNL" promos that included an old video and photos of Meyers and Stefon.

Another user was happy to have a reference of Stefon, sharing a promotional photo SNL of Meyers lovingly looking at a picture of Hader in costume.
