The National Weather Service says that severe weather is possible in Akron this afternoon and tonight.
Storms, sometimes serious, should cross the state from west to east.
"The strongest thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging gusts of wind," the meteorological service says. "There is also the possibility for some
a large hail or isolated tornado. "
The line of storms could also bring down heavy rains that could result in flooding of roads and waterways.
The showers are expected Wednesday.
A good weather weekend is at hand for the weekend with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70 degrees on Friday and Saturday.
The sunny weather continues on Sunday with temperatures in the 60s.
