SOUTH BEND, Indiana – Indiana Michigan Power (I & M) and NIPSCO have reported power outages in parts of Michiana.
The National Weather Service has issued a violent storm alert, including St. Joseph, Starke and La Porte counties.
Power failure alert. Due to I & M's loss of power in the city (Mishawaka Utilities buys electricity from I & M), thousands of Mishawaka Utilities customers have been deprived of electricity.

According to I & M, approximately 1,119 customers are without electricity.
Affected areas include Buchanan, Fort Wayne, Harlan, Hoagland and Upland.

NIPSCO also reports that approximately 15,000 customers are affected by power outages in Bristol, Cedar Lake, Demotte, Dyer, Gary, Griffith, Hammond, Highland, Hobart and London. Knox.

NIPSCO issued an alert in which it said, "We are witnessing an increasingly turbulent storm that has caused power outages affecting more than 15,000 customers, primarily in the Lake, Porter and La County regions. Door.

The South Shore reports that trains 17 and 119 eastbound are delayed by about 20 minutes due to severe weather.
