The rain hit northeastern Tuesday with more than 8.5 inches in New Haven County, Connecticut, and nearly 7.5 inches in Passaic County, New Jersey.

Flash floods and warnings continue from Tennessee to Ohio and the already sodden Carolines, as the cold front has more rain.

As the cold front slows down in the south and stalls slow down, heavy rains are expected for several days from New Orleans to the Carolinas and southern Virginia.
Some areas might see 2 to 4 inches or more of rain until Friday.
The floods will continue in the Carolinas and will slow down in the coming days because of the rain that is coming.
