Shots were fired during an incident in Beverly Hills, California, when shooting a video clip of a song by rappers Tekashi 6ix9ine, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj on Thursday.
West and Tekashi were present at the time, but Minaj was not, according to TMZ, who was the first to report the ordeal.
No one was injured and no suspects were identified. No arrests were made.
The Beverly Hills police confirmed to the New York Daily News that the authorities reacted on the scene around 22:25. local time and specific shots had been fired at a building in North Alpine Drive Block 900. However, they could not confirm the names of the people present or the shooting of a video clip.
"This is an ongoing investigation," Sgt. Eric Olson of the Beverly Hills Police Department told The News.
West and Tekashi69 were inside the building – a mansion in upscale Beverly Hills – when the shots were fired, reported TMZ.
Eight shots were fired and the production of the video was stopped since.
"Thanks for everyone's prayers, our family is safe and close," tweeted West Friday, without going into details.
His wife, reality star Kim Kardashian, revealed Thursday night on his Instagram page that his house was evacuated because of fires in southern California.
The room that was hit during the shooting was to be Minaj's locker room, according to TMZ. According to the report, this room was originally supposed to go to Tekashi, but he changed those plans the day before.
The song for which the rappers recorded the clip is Tekashi's, featuring West and Minaj.
