This may seem like a family dysfunction or a very bad case of sibling rivalry.
Six of the nine brothers and sisters of representative Paul Gosar, an Arizona Republican, publicly supported his Democratic opponent on Friday in the mid-term elections, in what one of them called a moral imperative.
The brothers and sisters were alarmed by what they saw as the increasingly extremist views of the Congressman on immigration, health care and white supremacists, said one of them, David Gosar , Saturday.
"I just hope that during this election cycle or after, people will have the idea that it is just not up to the job and that it will not be worth it. 39, he must be fired, "said David Gosar.

Dr. Brill said there are more videos coming, although he does not specify how many.
David Gosar, a Wyoming lawyer, identifies himself as a progressive, although he said he was not a registered Democrat. Three of the brothers and sisters donated to Dr. Brill's campaign, the Democratic candidate said.
Paul Gosar did not respond to requests for comments on Saturday. In one Thanksgiving 2016 message posted on Facebook, he acknowledged that he and his brothers and sisters had "mixed political opinions".
"I understand that we can disagree from time to time – we can even strongly disagree – but that's what's great in this country: even with our differences, we can agree that we live in a big country with a lot to thank ".
Paul Gosar was elected for the first time in 2010, his first foray into politics, with Tea Party support.
MP's brother David Gosar drew attention to Dr. Brill's campaign through his criticism of Paul Gosar on Twitter. David Gosar said that he kept the Twitter account only to publicly warn his brother, alternately calling it "Wease" or "Weasel".
David Gosar said a staff member from Dr Brill's campaign had called him and he had deepened the family gap, then asked the siblings to participate in the videos of the campaign. Dr. Brill said the effort was "collaborative".
"It is the Gosar brothers and sisters who come forward for the good of our country," said Dr. Brill.
The Brill campaign stated that siblings were not paid.
Paul Gosar is known as an intruder of immigration. Earlier this year, he called on the authorities to check the immigration status of people attending the State of the Union speech and to arrest and expel "all illegal aliens who try to go through security. "
Seven brothers and sisters had already written a letter to an Arizona local newspaper, The Kingman Daily Miner, condemning Paul Gosar's suggestion in an October Vice News interview that the gathering of white nationalists in Charlottesville was supported by George Soros to liberal causes.
"He continued to build and build," said David Gosar. "He kept getting sicker."
This was not always the case. David Gosar said the 10 siblings grew up in a small Wyoming town, playing sports or cards.
"It was really great," said David Gosar.
As brothers and sisters moved to different parts of the country and started their own families, they met less often but still talked on the phone, said David Gosar. Then Paul Gosar, the older brother, began to prepare for Congress in 2010 and said that he mistakenly believed that President Obama was born outside the country.
This is the last time both have spoken, said David Gosar. Attempts to reach Paul Gosar's other brothers and sisters were unsuccessful on Saturday.
One of the new videos of attack is titled "A family defends its honor. David Gosar expresses himself by saying, "None of this is nice for us," after which several siblings said their decision to support Dr. Brill was "horrible" and "difficult" . "Brings sadness."
"I think my brother exchanged a lot of the values we had at our kitchen table," said Joan Gosar, a civil engineer.
"It's the time of intervention," said Tim Gosar, a private investigator. "And the talk time means you're going to vote and you're going to vote for Paul."
Another video called "Paul Gosar does not work for you," in which Grace Gosar says, "Congressman Paul Gosar is doing nothing to help rural America." A third video criticizes Paul Gosar's stance on Healthcare.
What impact will the videos have? Cook's political report ranked the district as being firmly Republican and Paul Gosar won the district in 2016 with over 70% of the votes.
David Gosar said that he could see a world where he would be proud of a reformed Paul Gosar, but not soon.
"I do not expect anything like that from him," said David Gosar.
