EUREKA, Mo. (KMOV.com) –

The new ride to Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags just opened to the public Saturday and now it's closed after an adult has dropped from their tube.

A spokesman told News 4 that the Typhoon Twister was closed while the company was investigating the incident. The company said the closure is part of a standard protocol.

At present, it is unclear if anyone was injured.

The race is described as a whirlwind of 125 feet long that turns runners through a closed five-story chute.

This is a story in development and will be updated as more information becomes available.
