Slightly less humid but still hot

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Near record heat is expected again today. We'll heat up quickly in the mid 90s this afternoon.

"You may notice, it's a bit more comfortable this morning," said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Leigh Spann. "The mood is lower, so it will not feel as muggy," she continued.

With the drier air in place, the rain luck today is just 10%. It increases to 20% tomorrow, especially south of I-4. The heat continues with highs in the low to mid 90s through Friday.

IN THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Leslie may grow to a hurricane in the central Atlantic, but the system should never affect land. Just one tropical wave in the Caribbean has a 30% chance of developing over the next 5 days.
