Jared Grusd has been named the new head of the company's strategy, Spiegel said. Grusd will oversee content, overall strategy, partnerships and business development. Before Snap, he was recently CEO of The Huffington Post and has held positions at Spotify, Google and Oath.
The roles of Gorman and Grusd will replace the work previously held by Imran Khan. Khan announced that he was leaving the company in September.
Snap also added Jean Gonié as Director of European Policy and Alston Cheek as Director of Platform Partnerships this month. Gonié was previously director of public policy at Amazon, while Cheek was responsible for partnerships at Apple.
Snap has had a tough time lately, facing Facebook's heightened competition for Instagram. A recent Piper Jaffray report revealed that 85% of teens were using Instagram, which makes the app more popular than Snapchat for the first time in the survey's history. The stock has declined by more than 53% in the last year. The addition of digital advertising executives and outstanding media can help reinforce Snap's image, especially with brands and marketers.
The company publishes its results on Thursday. Snap's shares immediately reacted to the news, reaching 2%.

I am pleased to announce today two important additions to our management team that will help us deliver on Snap's long-term promise and potential.
Jeremi Gorman will be our Business Manager, responsible for managing global solutions, global online sales, customer operations and marketing.
Jeremi is from Amazon, where she is Global Advertising Sales Manager. During her six years of growing responsibilities at Amazon, she oversaw the business intelligence and analytics as well as the international development of Amazon's advertising industry.
Helping our partners grow their business is a fundamental part of the value of Snap products and I am deeply proud of the remarkable work you have all done to ensure that our advertisers' return on investment is second to none among our peers. Jeremi joins us with proven expertise and talent that will make our platform even better for our partners and I am delighted to have him on our team.
Jared Grusd will join Snap as the new Head of Strategy, responsible for content oversight, global strategy, partnerships and business development. A lawyer by training, Jared has held senior positions at Spotify, Google and Oath. For the past three years, he has served as President and CEO of The Huffington Post.
In his new role, Jared will work to expand Snap's footprint and develop key relationships around the world to enable growth in the number of users. We have tremendous leeway to grow globally thanks to the billions of people who do not yet use Snap. Getting them to experience the speed, ease and fun of Snap – which is the fastest means of communication – will be a key in the months and years to come.
I know that our goals for the coming years are ambitious. But I have great confidence in our ambition because we have always led our industry in developing products that people love. All thanks to you, our incredibly intelligent, creative and kind team.
I am proud that Jeremi and Jared join our team, where they will play an important role in shaping the next chapter of Snap. Thanks again for all your work and thank you in advance for welcoming Jeremi and Jared into our Snap family.
