"Saturday Night Live" has been amused with the ousting of US Attorney General Jeff Sessions, replaced by President Donald Trump's Loyalist, Matthew Whitaker.
The comedy debuted with Sessions, starring Kate McKinnon, who is about to leave his office.
"This is Matthew Whitaker's office, Jeff," said Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, played by Aidy Bryant.
"I do not understand how Mr. Trump could replace me with Matt Whitaker," said Sessions. "It's just a shady businessman, inexperienced, blindly loyal to Donald Trump, OK, to hear aloud is logical."
The little number – Trump mocked the sessions under the name "Mr. Magoo" – concluded that everything would be fine.
"It's okay," he said. "I'm keeping acorns for the long winter."
Robert De Niro made an appearance in the role of Robert Mueller, the special advocate charged with studying the influence of Russia on the 2016 presidential election.
"What did I do?" Sessions asks him, evoking his challenge in the supervision of the investigation.
"More than you'll ever know," Mueller said.
The monologue belonged to the guest host Liev Schreiber of the showtime drama series "Ray Donovan". He celebrated the strong turnout in Tuesday's mid-term elections.
"We came because we care about our children and our country," said Schreiber.
A skit on a music video describes rappers, including musical guest Lil Wayne, as new supporters of the Time & # 39; s Up movement. The hip hop star and producer made an appearance claiming that he would steal a girlfriend "but only with his permission".
Lil Wayne said, "Respect the ladies, so I treat you as an equal."
In the "Weekend Update" newspaper, co-host Michael Che congratulated Georgia's governing candidate, Stacey Abrams, for his strong participation in the challenge of Secretary of State Brian Kemp, who oversaw the elections until his recent resignation.
"It would be like beating LeBron at home if he was also the referee," Che said.
But it was SNL repertoire player Pete Davidson who again stole the show by resuming his Nov. 3 joke at the expense of Dan Crenshaw, Texas Republican Congress candidate who recently won a seat in the House representatives of the United States.
The former US Navy SEAL lost an eye while serving in Afghanistan after an improvised explosive device exploded. Last week, Davidson showed Crenshaw's picture – he's wearing an eye patch – and said he looked like a "hitman in a porn movie".
The comedian has been widely criticized for stupidity.
On Saturday, the comedian responded with an apology.
"This man is a war hero and deserves all the respect of the world," he said.
Then Crenshaw appeared and made fun of a picture of Davidson, who reportedly said, "Looks like Breaking Bad methamphetamine is a person."
His phone rang and the bell was "Breathin" by Ariana Grande.
"Are you going to answer that?" said Davidson, who has just acknowledged his break with the pop star last week.
Crenshaw then invited veterans and serious and hired first responders, including Davidson's father, a firefighter from New York City who died on September 9th.
He encouraged Americans to "never forget the sacrifices made by past and present veterans".
