In what looks like a horror movie, a woman stabbed her friend in a haunted house after confusing a real knife with a fake. Metro police are investigating the incident that occurred Friday night. As reported by a local Fox affiliate in Nashville, the incident began when the woman and her group of friends were approached by an unknown man in front of a haunted Tennessee home called Nashville Nightmare. According to the police report, the woman and her three friends assumed that the stranger who had approached them was a haunted house character. The man, whom the police are still unable to identify, would have asked the woman if one of her friends (James "Jay" Yochim) "was kidding her". Assuming that this man was part of the haunted house they had just attended, the women played and said "yes". The stranger continued to goad the woman, apparently giving her what she thought was a propeller knife and saying, "Well, wrist.", Still believing it was a victim At home, the woman stabbed her friend with the knife she presumed to be a fake. This was not wrong. Yochim's arm immediately began to bleed and doctors were called to heal his wounds. The stranger ran away after the stabbing.
Although the police have not yet confirmed the identity of the unknown, Nashville Nightmare thinks it could be from a member of his staff.
"We have robust security protocols in place, including metal detectors and on-site medical and security personnel. While we continue to review the information, we believe that one employee was involved in one way or another and he was put on leave until we could determine his involvement, "said a spokesman for Nashville Nightmare.
