The Dark Phoenix is up … again.
The iron Throne"Sophie Turner returns as Jean Gray in the first trailer of the next X Men The sequel – and director Simon Kinberg wants to do well by the fans this time around.
Jean, already powerful psychic mutant, became nuclear X-Men: Apocalypse by fighting the baddie holder (Oscar Isaac). In this new chapter, his abilities become indomitable. When the X-Men move to space to rescue stranded astronauts, a cosmic force bombards the X-Jet and is absorbed by John. The incident leaves it infinitely more powerful but also dangerously unstable. With his telekinetic and telepathic abilities uncontrollable and hurting those around him, the X-Men must try to save John from himself, but also keep the aliens attracted by his power.
"I saw the evil, and I'm looking at it now," said Magneto, played by the return of Michael Fassbender, in the pictures.
The name of the film, Dark Phoenix, will be familiar to X-Men fans. This is the name of the popular cartoon arc in which John is taken over by the cosmic entity known as Phoenix Force. It's also the story that inspired some of the X-Men: The Final Clash, and Kinberg is well aware of the reception of this film.

There are also brief pictures of the mysterious villain Jessica Chastain, an alien who manipulates John and the Phoenix. "His character is much smarter than us," Kinberg told EW. "What she realizes, is that she can use [Jean Grey] manipulate this world, turn it against itself ".

After a late release date, a new version and the recent purchase of Fox by Walt Disney (and therefore the franchise X-Men), the film will be released in theaters February 14, 2019.
