A player that many thought was an integral part of Scott Frost's attack, Tyjon Lindsey, is no longer part of the Huskers' football program, according to a spokesman for the University of Nebraska Athletics. He asked for and obtained the release of his scholarship.

Lindsey struggled through the 2018 season, capturing three passes for 22 yards and rushing twice for nine yards.

As a rookie with Mike Riley, Lindsey captured 12 passes for 76 yards.

The Huskers started at 0-4 this season and will be heading to Madison, Wisconsin for Wisconsin's 16th place on Saturday. On Monday, the team announced five-position depth map changes. Tyjon Lindsey was on the list of receivers number two and ballistic returns number two.

Lindsey is also no longer listed on the Huskers' official online list. He is the first person to leave the program since Redshirt rookie Tristan Gebbia was released before the first scheduled match of the season.
